BULLY NO MORE-Part 1-Emotions RETURN OF THE BULLY-Part 2-Strategies THE BULLY STRIKES BACK-Part 3-Resilinece
Three plays about bullying in primary school
THE TEAM The author, Trisha Starrs, has been writing, performing and directing plays for young people for the last 20 years. The actors who perform in the plays are university trained acting graduates and have strong backgrounds in theatre, education and working with children.
THE PLAYS The plays are performed at your school as an incursion and have a duration of 60 minutes. Each play deals with the issue of bullying at school but has a completely different theme. Part 1 offers an overview of what bullying means and how it affects children through a dramatic story. Part 2 offers practical strategies that the children can learn and part 3 explores the meaning of resilience in children’s lives and how that can protect them from bullying.
All three plays offer positive strategies that enable children to deal with bullying and a greater understanding of the issue.
COMMENTS FROM SCHOOLS “Students were mesmerised by the performance. They were totally engrossed and highly motivated to discuss the issues after the performance. Content was exceptional and dealt sensitively with meaningful and relevant issues. Students were engaged the entire time.” - Banksia Road, NSW
“The best performance I have seen. Clear concise message. Very well acted.” Highgate PS, NSW
“Children really enjoyed the performance. They were thoroughly entertained and were able to discuss the main issues at length afterwards.” West Ryde, NSW
